This week on the podcast, Marc Dumont from Eyes on the Prize joins me to do some playoff predictions for the second round, and then we go deep into what went wrong with the Canadiens this year, and whether they can recover from it.

We also referenced an article on EOTP from Kyle Medeiros on the Canadiens’ inability to break in drafted players, which you can read here.

On today’s podcast Sportsnet’s Eric Engels joins the show to talk about the Montreal Canadiens post trade deadline and coaching change.

For a good portion of the podcast Eric and I discuss Max Pacioretty’s evolution as a hockey player and a leader, and what that means for the Canadiens going forward.

We also talk about why the Habs’ powerplay still looks awful, why Alexei Emelin keeps getting chances to play, whether Charles Hudon will get the chance he’s earned, and why Eric is wrong about pecan pie.

Arune Singh joins me once again, and originally we were going to talk about Fox’s X-Men movies this week, but since Logan came out and I haven’t seen it yet, we felt it wouldn’t be right to do it without being completist.

I did however, see John Wick 2, so that’s the topic for this week’s podcast.

Before we got int that though, we had to touch on the firing of Michel Therrien and hiring of Claude Julien, the trade deadline, and the return of P.K. Subban to the Bell Centre.

After a few minutes of hockey, we get right into the John Wick 2 analysis. Beware: Here lie spoilers.
